Padilla: ACA Survives, Fight Continues to Ensure Affordable Care for All
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) released the following statement on the Supreme Court ruling in California v. Texas to dismiss the challenge to the Affordable Care Act:
“This decision is a major victory in the fight to maintain health care coverage for millions of Americans. It also means insurance companies will still be prevented from denying coverage to the millions of people with a pre-existing condition. The ACA was a major step forward, and we must now build on that momentum to ensure everyone has access to the quality, affordable health care they need. Health care is a human right and it is time for Congress to ensure our country lives up to those values.”
