2025 LA County Wildfire Resources
I have been on the ground in the LA region hearing from first responders and seeing firsthand the destruction from the ongoing Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, and Woodley fires, and the severity of the situation is clear.
That’s why I urged President Biden to declare a Major Disaster for the region, and thanks to his swift action, impacted residents can start applying for assistance NOW.
I know this is a difficult time for our communities. Please stay updated on alerts and evacuation orders, be prepared to evacuate, and check in on your neighbors to ensure we can get through this as swiftly and as safely as possible.

Safety Tips:
- Check air quality before going outside.
- Stay indoors as much as possible and mask up to go outside.
- Run air conditioning or air purifier.
- Have supplies and a plan ready to go in case you are told to evacuate.
Shelter Information:
Local Assistance Centers & Disaster Recovery Centers will open to the public starting January 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Starting Wednesday, January 15, 2025, they will be open to the public from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
